About Para Aramid Fiber
Para-aramid filament is 100% pure aramid filament fiber.
Feature
High Strength and High Modulus
Due to the high hydro-gen bonds, the strength of para aramid can reach up to above 28g/D. Its specific strength is 5-6 times that of steel wire , its specific modulus is 2-3 times that of steel wire or glass fiber , and its flexibility is 2 times that of steel wire while the weight is only 1/5 that of the steel wire.
High Temperature Resistance
Para aramid can be used continuously in a very wide temperature range from -196 deg C to 304 deg C.It has no decomposing or melting at 500 deg C.Its tenacity remains 75% after 100hours under 200 deg C.
Good Chemical Resistance
Para aramid is acid and alkali resistant, anti-aging with good adhesive force in rubber.
Specification
Para-aramid filament is available in 600Denier ,750Denier,840 Denier,1000 Denier, 1500 Denier,3000 Denier,6000 Denier and 9000 Denier.
Application
Widely used in safety guard, sports, industrial production, communication lines, etc.
Exceptional Thermal and Flame ResistancePara Aramid Fiber is engineered to withstand intense heat, maintaining its strength up to 200C and resisting decomposition until temperatures exceed 500C. Its self-extinguishing properties (LOI > 28) make it a reliable choice for high-risk environments requiring superior thermal protection and flame resistance, such as firefighting suits and bulletproof vests.
Customizable for Specific ApplicationsAvailable in both continuous filament and staple fiber styles, Para Aramid Fiber is offered in a range of thicknesses, widths, lengths, and packing methods (bobbin, spool, bale pack). This flexibility allows manufacturers and engineers to select exact specifications required for end-use applications, including automotive reinforcements, cables, and composites.
High Strength with Lightweight ConstructionDespite its low density (1.44 g/cm3), Para Aramid Fiber possesses an impressive strength-to-weight ratio and a high tensile modulus. This, in conjunction with its excellent abrasion and chemical resistance, delivers durable and lightweight solutions for industries from defense to automotive and industrial safety.
