About Reflective Heat Shield Fiberglass Sleeve With Velcro

Constructed from a high temperature base filamenttexturized fiberglass fabric which is then coated with highly reflective polished aluminum The aluminum foil coating melts at 1220 degree F  660 degree C however it does take some time for the aluminum foil to absorb enough heat to melt thereby it can withstand short exposure to the higher temperatures The basic fiberglass fabric is 1000 degree F537 degree C while adhesive will burnoff or vaporize at temperatures above 300 degree F148 degree C
 
The sleeve is fabricated from a roll fabric and is then sewn with Velcro tape allowing this sleeve to be installed and removed with disconnection of wiring cables hose and pipe Sewing is performed with Kevlar or Fiberglass thread The Velcro sleeve results in a circular sleeve profile when closed
